OSHA Represention & Citation Settlement

By having JW Rufolo and Associates, Inc. act as your company's "designated OSHA Representative", you ensure that your rights are protected before, during, and after an OSHA Inspection. We have saved our clients millions of dollars through contest / settlement of OSHA citations and penalties.

Citation Settlement

If you just went through an OSHA Inspection and have now received citations and penalties, fax or mail them to us for our evaluation. Let one of our experts review the citations for validity and accuracy and determine the best course of action to take. Of course, all correspondence is COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL.

Facility and Jobsite Compliance Audits

Our audit consists of having one of our expert OSHA consultants conduct an "OSHA style" walk through of your construction site or facility, noting all areas of non-compliance, and identifying all existing hazards.

Program Review

The next step is to review all existing company safety and health programs, including "Standard Operating Procedures" and "Health and Safety Plans" for clarity, content, and compliance. We then evaluate OSHA 300 Logs, examine training records, and review all safety related materials.

Written Report

Finally, a detailed Written Report of our findings is presented to you. This report includes results from the audit and written program review, all OSHA standards violated, where the violations were located, a summary sheet, and recommendations for corrective measures. Of course, all findings are COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL.

General Health & Safety Plans (HASP's)

The primary purpose of the written health and safety plan is to serve as an organization-wide health and safety policy that applies to all employees of the organization, regardless of the location of the actual site where they are working. A General Health & Safety Plan is a Federal OSHA requirement.

Key Benefits
  • Company Policies & Procedures
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Safety & Health Training
  • Compliance with OSHA
Site Specific Safety Plan

A site specific health and safety program must be developed for each site where workers are engaged in hazardous waste operations. The purpose of this mandatory program is to address the specific health and safety hazards that may exist at each phase of site operations and to identify procedures for protecting employees.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)

OSHA Standards require detailed written procedures for numerous construction and general industry operations. Employees also need formal training in their specific job duties. These programs must be specific to your operations as well as comply with Federal regulations.

The following is a partial list of SOP's than can be developed for your operation:

  • Hazard Communication
  • Fall Protection
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Hearing Conservation
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Respiratory Protection
  • Lockout / Tagout
  • Scaffolding
  • Emergency Response
  • Lead
  • Process Safety Management
  • Asbestos

Industrial Hygiene Services

An onsite technician can monitor for hazardous atmospheres including toxic, explosive, and oxygen-deficient environments. These expert technicians utilize state of the art air monitoring and sampling equipment such as combustible gas indicators, organic vapor analyzer, personal or area sampling plumps, and direct reading instruments.

Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality concerns are a major issue in today's business community. Hazardous conditions stemming from unclean ventilation systems and/or poor air movement causes thousands of employee complaints each year.

Noise Monitoring

Generally, prolonged exposure to high noise levels over a period of time gradually causes permanent damage. OSHA requires a Hearing Conservation Program for all employees whose noise exposures or exceed an 8 hour time weighted average of 85 decibels.

Soil Sampling

Initial site characterization requires monitoring in order to identify and determine the extent of onsite contamination. This step is crucial in determining adequate levels of employee protection and atmospheric monitoring strategies. Soil sampling techniques differ with each site and records of analysis data must be recorded.
